Eastside LEADS Coalition

InnerCity Struggle is a member of the Eastside LEADS Coalition, which has vision for the future of the Eastside that welcomes economic growth while protecting longtime residents who have made the Eastside community the place we know and love. Their coalition of renters, homeowners, youth, seniors, and local community organizations is demanding equitable and accountable development.

From murals and mariachis to the Chicano Moratorium and student walkouts, the Eastside has a rich history central to LA’s heritage – a culture of resilience and resistance that endures every day. The people of Boyle Heights, Lincoln Heights, El Sereno, City Terrace, and East Los Angeles, are working together through Eastside LEADS to demand new development policies that meet their community’s needs – instead of pushing them to the side.
